On twentieth anniversary of assassination of Vienne
Martyrs- Dr. Abdulrahman Ghasemlou, secretary general of
Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran and his comrades,
Abdoulah Ghaderi Azar member of central committee and
Dr. Fazel Rasoul friend of KDPI, in London a ceremony
were held in their memory. The ceremony has been taken
place on 26th of July 2009 and attended representatives
of Iranian and Kurdish parties.
Ceremony started by Kurdistan national anthem and one
minute silence in memory of all martyrs of party and
people of Kurdistan and their leader Dr. Ghasemlou and
then a brief article by Ms Yasamin Alikia and Akam
Rahimi, regarding life of Dr. Ghasemlou was read in both
Farsi and Kurdish. Following that a report from UK
committee of Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran on
political life and struggle of Dr. Ghasemlou was
delivered by head of committee, Mr. Kaweh Beheshtizadeh.
He also mentioned the great memory of other martyrs and
comrades of Dr. Ghasemlou especially Salam Azizi, whose
passing away anniversary coincided with the ceremony.
After this Ali Meysoumi, member of party and political
activist delivered a speech regarding academic
personality of Dr. Ghasemlou as an economist and on his
economic view points. Hesam Dastpish , the other party
member and specialist in international politics talked
about diplomatic capabilities of Dr. Ghasemlou and his
success in turning Kurdish issue into an international
concern.
At the end of ceremony, Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh
journalist and close friend of Dr. Ghasemlou delivered
his speech. This well known journalist said: ‘’ After
Iranian people’s 1979 revelation, we were looking for a
political figure who is capable of leading all Iranian
nations and the only suitable figure who always came
across, was Dr. Ghasemlou’’.
It would also worth mentioning that messages of Youth
Union and Democratic Women Union of Kurdistan have been
submitted by Soran Raoufi and Ms. Shabbo Ghoareshe.
