Members of Democrat Women Union
We are
honoured to let you know that on 20th June
2009, the first general conference of our Union in
United Kingdom took place. Following national anthem and
one minute silence in memory of martyrs, the conference
was started by Kaveh Beheshtizadeh, head of UK committee
of Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran. He declared the
full support of KDPI for the Union and wished its
success in future.
Following that a statement from General Committee and
Abroad Representative Committee of Democrat Women Union
war read. Ms Yasamin Alikia, women rights activist also
delivered a speech about history and developments of
women right movement in Iran and Kurdistan.
This
was followed by free tribune of participants. At the end
of conference, Tara Dabaghi, Leila Ahmadi and Shabo
Ghoraeshe were selected as executive committee and Ms
Dabaghi has been appointed as secretary of the
committee.
